Brétignolles-sur-Mer (15 mins) It's your fastest access to the sea. Dunes Beach and there Parée Beach are vast expanses of fine sand monitored in summer, perfect for sandcastles and family swimming. For a wilder atmosphere, the rocky coast of the Sauzie offers an exceptional panorama.
Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie (at 25 min) Renowned for its friendliness, the Big Beach stretches as far as the eye can see and offers numerous facilities. The beach of Boisvinet, as for it, it is sheltered from the prevailing winds and proves ideal for young children.
Les Sables-d’Olonne (in 30 minutes) Her legendary Big Beach, Facing south, it offers a unique 3 km stretch of fine sand, unparalleled in Europe. Bordered by the pedestrian promenade, it combines the pleasures of the seaside with urban entertainment.

Our region is home to world-famous spots. Surf schools in Brétignolles-sur-Mer (particularly on Les Dunes beach) and Les Sables-d’Olonne welcome you from the age of 5 for introductory lessons or advanced training courses. Experienced surfers can go and tackle the famous Sauzaie reef wave.

Sailing, Catamaran and Windsurf

The watersports centres and sailing clubs in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and Les Sables-d'Olonne offer catamaran, dinghy and windsurf hire, as well as private lessons to get to grips with the Vendée wind.
